BISHOP GUERTIN HIGH SCHOOL AUCTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

  • Bishop Guertin High School (BGHS) reserves the right to reject any bid or disqualify any bidder.
  • The decision of BGHS, as to any dispute between one or more bidders, shall be final and binding.
  • Should any dispute arise regarding the selling of any item, the Auctioneer, at their discretion, may resell the item.
  • In the event the winning bidder fails to make payment, BGHS may treat the purchased article as the property of BGHS and will retain possession and may resell such articles.
  • All descriptions and restrictions are carefully set forth by the Donors, BGHS, are believed to be correct. However, neither BGHS nor the Donors are responsible for any errors or discrepancies.
  • After any item has been sold, it becomes the sole property of the purchaser. Property that is allowed to stay on the premises following the online auction is left at the risk of the purchaser.  
  • All items are sold according to item number and purchased “AS IS” and “WHERE IS” without a warranties expressed or implied.
  • Silent auction bids must be in correct increments noted online. Incorrect bids will be invalidated.
  • Contact with Gift Certificate and Bearer Letter Donors must be made by June 30, 2021.
  • Payment may be made with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, or AMEX.
  • ALL SALES ARE FINAL. THERE WILL BE NO PRODUCT EXCHANGES, CASH EXCHANGES, OR REFUNDS on items except where specified by the Donor.
  • Items have not been appraised unless noted.  The amount you pay above the fair market value estimate is normally tax deductible as a charitable contribution.
  • Any bidder who desires to pick up their winning item in person is encouraged to do so by calling the BG Special Events Office at 603-88-4107 ext. 4332. To ensure the safety of our staff and the online buyers, we will have a plan in place for all merchandise that will be picked up.
  • All shipping costs are the responsibility of the winning bidder.  Please note, specific items with exceeding weight limits will not be eligible for shipment and must be picked up.

Thank you for your support of BGBids! We hope the below FAQs will answer any questions about this event. The most important thing to remember is that no matter where your journey has taken you, every Cardinal can help and every dollar matters. We hope you'll join us in paying it forward!

Do I need to purchase a ticket to “attend” the auction? No! Our online auction is open to everyone! You can also make a direct donation to the Cardinal Endowment Fund for Scholarships and Financial Assistance. 

Where is the money raised going? All the money raised will go directly to the Cardinal Endowment Fund for Scholarships and Financial Assistance

When is the BGBids online auction? Bidding will begin on Wednesday, May 5th at 12:00 PM until Sunday, May 9th at 7:00 PM. 

How do I participate in the auction? You can register to participate in the auction here. There is no cost to do so, however you will need to provide credit card information for payment of your winning items. Also, make sure you include your mobile number and email when you register.

Can only members of the BG community participate? Everyone can support BGBids by participating in our online auction! Invite your family, friends, and neighbors. Share the link to our event website on social media and tag your classmates! All they have to do is register!

What happens when the bidding begins? 

  • When the auction opens, you will receive an automated ‘Welcome’ text or email with your bidder link. After clicking the link, begin searching for packages by name, number, or category.
  • Select the package you wish to bid on.
  • You can Bid the next increment or Bid More than the next increment
  • If you choose to Bid More you can choose to set your Max Bid. If your max bid is the highest, the system will automatically bid in your favor until you are outbid or until the silent auction closes. If your bid is lower than the highest max bid on that package, you will be prompted to enter a higher bid.
  • To purchase a package at the Buy Now price, select the Buy button.
  • To "watch" a package, select the star icon on the package.
  • If you’re out-bid at any point before the auction closes, you will receive a text message.
  • To view packages you are bidding on, click the menu button and select Bids.
  • To view packages you are watching, click the menu button and select Favorites.
  • Once the auction closes, the guest with the highest bid will win.
  • To make a donation, select the Donation button on your home screen and enter the amount you wish to donate.
  • Under the Bids area you can check your winning packages.

Will this work for all mobile devices? Yes, you can bid with any mobile device. With smartphones and tablets, you can browse, search, and bid via a web browser. When registering your mobile device, you will be provided a custom URL for bidding purposes. With standard mobile phones, you can bid and receive alerts via text messaging.

Do I have to pay shipping costs on the items I am a winning bidder on if I don’t live nearby? Yes, the winning bidder of any auction item will be responsible for shipping costs. We plan to also offer in-person pick-up. 

Am I able to make a cash donation? Of course! Donations can be made directly on our site here.

What about the Tuition Raffle? Tickets for the tuition raffle are still being sold! You can purchase tickets here

Will the Gala be back? Absolutely! Save the date! Saturday, April 9, 2022.
